THESE DRESSES ARE COMING UP LARGE, SO PLEASE SIZE DOWN!
Our lovely new Twizzle dress will easily please our comfy dress fans. It’s a honey of an old fashioned rose print, done in a pretty velveteen stretch. The blooms are deep coral pink fading to a blush pink. Really stunning. The other flowers are cream and biscuit beige (not quite mustard). Olive and avocado leaves are scattered between them, and it’s all nestled on a navy background. I could see this working with a variety of base colours for accessories - navy (obviously!) tan, brown, cream or ivory, pink tones in corals and raspberry shades, or even a darker red or burgundy (red is a basic isn’t it?!)
Based on a CC41 dress from Shona’s own collection. The CC41 label is a significant one for 1940s re-enactors as it signifies the garment was made to the regulations set down at the time to ensure quality clothing was available to war-time rationed Britain.
The gentle wide A-line is very flattering and doesn’t need a petticoat. We have left it at a vintage mid-calf length, but agree that it would also be gorgeous at a shorter length if you chose to have it altered.
